"The Neptunus”
The Neptunus is a half model of a liner of the Dutch Royal Navy. In this exceptionally detailed model that shows both the exterior and interior of the ship we show the daily life on board this ship in 1835. For this project we developed the old Pepper’s ghost technique with an entirely new variant that made it possible to tell this stories inside this model with the most respect for this beautiful piece of Marine history and for the new Marine Models Room. Our installation is part of the permanent collection of the Rijksmuseum.
